The NC Japan Center shall hold its first-ever bonsai workshop on Saturday, June 22nd, from 2-4PM at the Spring Hill House (705 Barbour Dr., Raleigh).  We are honored to host Sensei Taka Chubachi, a “Master Gardener” who studied for more than a decade under the late Peter Carter, who was the owner of “The Ploughmans’ Nursery & Garden” and a lavender expert from New Zealand.  The participation fee is $50, and this includes bonsai materials, plants, and pots.  We ask participants to bring their own gloves, a 2.5 gallon bucket (empty), and bonsai scissors or pruning shears (if you have them – a limited number will be available to use, on-site).
