Welcome to JapanFest 2019 - "Get Ready to Travel Japan - Olympics 2020!"
With 22,000+ attendees in 2018, JapanFest 2019 continues in its 33rd year as the largest Japan-related event in the Southeastern United States! Join us this year, whether for the first time or as a returning participant, on September 21 - 22, 2019.
Over 120 vendors featuring Japanese food, Japanese goods, and more, together with 25 performers and workshops will bring Japan to metro Atlanta, Georgia. And in great anticipation of the upcoming Olympics 2020 in Tokyo, JapanFest 2019 is a great chance to immerse yourself, together with your family and friends, in all things Japanese!
A joint production brought to you by the Japan-America Society of Georgia and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Georgia, we hope you will enjoy two full days of fun and learning all about Japan on a virtual trip around the nation hosting the 2020 Olympics!
This year, we're spreading out over the entire Infinite Energy Center in Gwinnett County to comfortably accommodate even more vendors, performances, and visitors.
We'll expand our ever-popular Food Court, filled with affordable Japanese delicacies, for more access. We'll also have our Ginza Dori "main street" filled with even more vendors with Japanese novelties for sale; Anime Village for all our loyal Anime fans; Children's Playland with fun Japanese games; The Way of the Warrior with sword and martial arts exhibits; the Japanese Arts Studio where you can participate in Ikebana Flower Arranging, Bonsai, Calligraphy, Kimono, and Tea Ceremony; an Olympics 2020 Capsule to learn all about next year's festivities and travel to Japan; and a Sake & Beer Garden for adults--there is something for everyone no matter what your interests!
