“The Spirit of Haiga: A Workshop and Gallery with Ion Codrescu”
The NC Japan Center is very pleased and honored to host Dr. Ion Codrescu, a renowned and celebrated haiku poet and “haiga” master. Haiga (俳画) is defined as “…a style of Japanese painting that incorporates the aesthetics of 'haikai.' Haiga are typically painted by haiku poets ('haijin'), and often accompanied by a haiku poem.”
